My family and I eat out pretty often. With hectic schedules, kids activities and full time jobs, there isn’t always time for cooking. We are always looking for easy, affordable, delicious places to dine at. One of our favorites is Applebee’s. They constantly provide amazing service and delicious food. Recently, they’ve added new items to their menu with bigger and bolder grill combos. Applebee’s is a restaurant that satisfies all of our needs. The kids always find something they want, the food is always tasty and the price is affordable.
We tried, from the new menu, the Brisket Quesadilla as our appetizer. This is made of warm, grilled tortillas, loaded with shredded beef brisket, fresh pico and a blend of melted Cheddar cheeses and served with green chile sauce and chipotle lime salsa. This was so yummy. The quesadillas were grilled to perfection, flavorful, cheesy and filling. We could eat this every time we go to Applebee’s.
Also on the bigger and bolder grill combo’s are, crispy shrimp and grilled salmon. My combo came with broccoli, mashed potatoes, onion tanglers, and coleslaw. The broccoli was so fresh and tasty, the salmon and shrimp were so tender and flavorful, that even my kids loved it. Having picky eaters, this made my day. While we each had our own meal, these were generous portions and I could have shared this with one of my kids, especially with the yummy brisket quesadilla as the appetizer.
My husband tried the grilled shrimp skewer with honey bbq sauce and the top sirloin. This platter also came with the steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. We were so pleased with the tasty new items and were not surprised that Applebee’s knocked it out of the park again. You can also try other riblet platters slathered in your choice of sauce. The slaw and onion ringlets are perfect additions to these platters.
Another area where Applebee’s excels, are the drinks! You can have a margarita for a dollar. Or as they called it, the Dollarita! Or order a beer for $2 bucks. The Dollarita’s were just fine and thanks to our amazing waiter, Mike, we enjoyed great service along with this amazing dinner.
