I am sharing this post on behalf of Wayfair.com to help promote Better Sleep Month this May. I am not being compensated for this post and all opinions are my own.
Like many households, bedtime in the Paez home, is no easy feat. I hear stories about parents who have these bed time routines down packed and get their angels to bed without a hitch. Yet that has never happened under our roof. Maybe I don’t want to fit in the box, or maybe I’m making a new box, but bedtime in our house is no routine. My kids may have a sport game or a dance class and the events end times fluctuate. Some games or classes may end at 7 pm one night, others as late as 8 pm. Not only does that fluctuate but some of the extra curricular activities may last a month while others three. There could be further delays to bedtime if we have homework to review, a project to work on or heck, dinner to eat! Our schedules are a moving target.
So while we do not have a routine per say, we do have rituals in place. #MySleepStyle Rituals help us make sure our little ones are more willing to drift on to dreamland. My kids know these rituals include shower time, teeth brushing, either a hot cup of milk or a small snack and then getting tucked into bed. Once the kids are tucked in bed, they have nightlights that stay on, to make the scary dark not so scary.
He calls it breathable and says it helps him fall asleep. Now you know, if the kids are too hot that will only lead to tossing and turning. So it’s important to me that they are comfortable, so I let them pick out their blankets.
My daughter on the other hand prefers this soft warm cuddly throw. She says it feels like love. she loves cuddling and this is a perfect fit for her.
Even our dog approves as you can see him ready for bed here as well.
