We were excited that the temperature here in hot Florida would finally be dipping into the 60’s. The months that we get cool weather in Florida are usually November through February. And when I say cooler I say that lightly because even then it’s still warm to northerners. I get excited once the temperature drops to the low seventies and even sixties. It’s my favorite time of year for many reasons. But ya’ll can keep the forties and fifties up north, HA! I know we’ll still feel that but i’m content with 60’s and above. I’d be lying if I didn’t tell you I’d turn into a popsicle at a certain point. Can we say spoiled!
So why do I love the cooler weather? The main reason being that it is the only time I can go outside with a full face of makeup and not melt like Frosty the Snowman. Us Floridians know that this sun is no joke. I swear she does not let me live. I actually stop wearing foundation once it feels like the sun is touching us! Lord have mercy. I keep my makeup minimal and make sure to treat my skin well so that it can glow.
Anyway, as soon as Matt Devitt (local weather authority lol) said we’d get cooler air, I knew my daughter and I could strut our cute matching Shackets! Are you wondering what they are? They are a crossover between a shirt and a jacket.
My daughter and I received these awesome Soft and comfortable plaid jackets from femmeluxe. With the drop in temperatures this was the perfect jacket to wear. It has a super soft inner lining , pockets and feels VERY comfortable. I love the blues in it and you can buy it with pink or lilac coloring as well.
We paired our outfits with blue jeans, a white top and white sneakers. This shacket goes well with everything but definitely was a vibe with our comfy outfits. My daughter doesn’t like to match me anymore because she’s at that preteen age where she has a very specific style and fit (insert motherly eye roll), but this jacket is so versatile and stylish that it was easy to convince her to be my mini me for the day. While I paired my outfit with silver jewelry, she wore gold and both went nicely with our outfits.

She will love and will look stunning in it. It looks a little more fitted than what it looks like on the model but she may be wearing a bigger size. I’ll share pictures once my niece shares.
