MedExpress Urgent Care is coming to Cape Coral. This local neighborhood healthcare provider is going to give us more options on where to go when experiencing a medical need, as well as offering an expanded list of services that usually you’d have to travel to another location for. The new local center will open on May 11, 2016 and is located at 313 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33991 (Near the Sam’s Club). As a welcoming gift to our community, MedExpress is going to be offering FREE sports, camp and school physicals to patients age 5 years old and up from May 11 to May 25, 2016. How cool is that? Here are the main things you need to know about the new urgent care center:
- No appointments necessary, walk-ins welcome. (This includes the free sports/camp and school physicals being offered May 11 – 25th)
- MedExpress will be open seven days a week from 8 am to 8 pm, and expect most patients to be in and out under an hour.
- They will offer walk-in treatment for everyday illness and injury as well as advanced offerings such as on-site X-rays, IVs, labs, minor surgery, stitches and treatment for broken bones, sprains and strains
- Basic wellness and prevention services such as physicals, immunizations and flu shots offered as well.
As a busy working parent, I know I’m looking forward to having this new center as an option. The expanded hours and services are also helpful and make me feel good knowing they’ll be local to us. How many of us have to work around work schedules and find that getting to the doctor from 9 to 5, just can’t happen sometimes. The things that are important to me as a parent and for myself when thinking about obtaining medical care are: customer service, quality, convenience and professionalism. I believe MedExpress will bring us those things.
